instagram.com/joao.avr/ In this video I show step by step how to install the SOFT DW50 window lift module on the fourth generation Volkswagen Polo (Mk4), produced from 2002 to 2014 here in Brazil. Only for VW Polo with original VW alarm system, which works with micro key signal. Originally, all Polos come from the factory with the windows raised and lowered on the driver's door lock. However, you need to turn the key and hold it in the desired position (lock or unlock) and wait until the window goes up (or down) completely. The Polo 9n manufactured from 2002 to 2006 only raise the windows on the lock, and with the DW 50 module they also raise them through the remote control, and with just one touch of the button. If your VW Polo already raises the windows on the remote control, it is because it already has a module installed. The Polo 9n3 and 9n4 produced between 2007 and 2014 can raise and lower the windows using the lock and the alarm control, but you have to keep the control button pressed until the window is completely closed (or opened). This causes the control battery to run out faster, in addition to being quite inconvenient. In Polos from 2008 to 2014 with I-System, the opening of the windows can be programmed by the on-board computer, and closing by clicking on the key control can be done through programming with a VW scanner, which can eliminate the need for the window module. The hard part is finding someone to do the job. About the DW50 module produced by Soft that I installed in my car It cost R$44.00 + R$8.90 for shipping. I installed it because it was the cheapest among the available options, the simplest to install, the smallest among the modules, and it was the one that people most recommended on the Instagram channel @joao.avr. Installation - The DW50 module has 5 wires and I show each of them in the video: 1 Brown - Negative 2 Black/blue (lock signal) - The manual says to connect it to the alarm LED, but I connected it to the alarm lock wire (purple/yellow). 3 Purple (12v post key) - It was connected to the black wire of the car door harness. 4 Red/green (unlock signal) - It was connected to the purple/green wire. This is optional, but I connected it to my car and it serves to stop the window from going up in case the alarm is disarmed right after activating it. 5 Gray/red (window activation) - It was connected to the blue/white wire of the car. It sends a timed negative signal so that the windows go up. I show the installation through both the driver's door and the door pillar of the Polo. Thanks for watching and following the channel! ________________________________________________________________ #joaoavr #vw #vwpolo
