The Ipê has never been my favorite bonsai species, but it is a species that I really like as a decorative tree, so much so that we will plant more than 200 seedlings on our new farm. And in order to avoid planting colors that are too repetitive, I started to delve a little deeper into the species, and it is really not easy to identify the color before the first flowering. Also because there are phenomena that occur, still without much explanation, of color change. An Ipê that bloomed yellow one year and had white flowers the next.
