If there is a Paradise on earth, its name is Karelia! I am absolutely sure of it! Every corner of this incredible land, every square meter of it is an amazing attraction in itself! What can we say about the iconic Vottovaara mountain, glorified and celebrated by tourists, travelers, adventurers and mystifiers of all stripes and spills! I am going on a date with the mountain alone again. This time I will try to walk the 37-kilometer long route from the beautiful Lake Pizanets to the mystical Vottovaara and not get lost in the Karelian wilds and on numerous logging dirt roads. I have only a compass and a map with me, the old-fashioned way. And no navigators! What came of it? See for yourself!
