In today's special video, Rafa Oliveira chose Ana Paula's kitchen to give it a makeover and try to make things more practical! One of the first things to do in smaller kitchens is to try to make more space, so we removed the utensils that aren't used very often, like cups and glasses in Ana's case. Using wire organizers, one of the best tricks for saving space, we divided the utensils into families, leaving the most used ones within reach and the ones that aren't used much in higher places. With some extra space, it's always nice to keep playing around and trying out combinations, that's what organization is all about! A great tip for high places is to use a basket, taking advantage of the drawer effect, where you simply pull the basket out. Large items, such as appliances, that aren't used much, can be taken off the countertop and placed in higher places as well. With pans, it's a good idea to store one inside the other, to also save space. Rafa also suggests using a dish to organize the cutlery, leaving it on the countertop, which frees up the drawer even more. Once again using the basket, it is recommended to separate cleaning products and spices, which were together in the same compartment under the sink. Inside the baskets, Rafa categorizes by type of food, pasta, canned goods, etc... Closing the video with the best tip: if you take something out of place, put it back immediately! Time is fun!
