Jakub Kaźmierczyk: "I love outdoor flash! Of course, not always and everywhere, but this flash element does the job! This time, however, I decided to create an unusual set, because in the summer I equipped myself with the Ecoflow River 2 power station, for which I paid about PLN 1,000. It is a really great device, because at a really good price it offers incredible versatility. I can use it to power lamps, a laptop, a monitor, a phone and many other devices with a power consumption of no more than 300W in the case of this model. However, I came to the conclusion that maybe I could turn the Profoto D2 lamp into an outdoor lamp? As it turns out, the lamp has the ability to slow down the charging to 50 and 25%, which limits the momentary power consumption, and as a result - even the smallest station from Ecoflow is able to power the lamp. Having other lamps that do not have a slowdown function, it would be worth choosing a more powerful station. In my opinion, this is a great solution for people who work mainly in the studio, but sometimes want to do an outdoor session with flash. Thanks to this, we can save a lot by buying lamps with mains power, and the power bank will be useful in many other situations. I invited Maja to the session. Initially, we were supposed to take photos on a basketball court, but unfortunately it was closed, so we went to a skate park and a beach volleyball court. The weather was very capricious - incredibly windy, and on top of that, full sun mixed with considerable cloudiness every now and then, so I had to counteract it with the camera parameters and the flash. However, I am very pleased with the effect.
