In this video lesson, Novelo Moda designer Milleide Lopes teaches how to dye clothes at home to renew the colors of t-shirts, shirts and other clothing items. She also explains in detail the difference between dyeing natural fabrics such as cotton, linen, silk and others, and dyeing synthetic fabrics such as polyester, polyamide and elastane. About Milleide Lopes Designer and event producer, she develops her craft focusing on natural dyeing and making clothes from scraps. She uses upcycling, customization, embroidery and other manual techniques as a creative tool in fashion. For 12 years, she has been developing products at Novelo Moda that are handcrafted using natural dyeing, hand printing and upcycling of clothes and fabric scraps. This project is carried out with resources from the Paulo Gustavo Law of the Federal Government, operated by the Government of Goiás, through the State Secretariat of Culture.
