How to deal with fear? Who hasn't found themselves in a situation where they break out in a cold sweat, have freezing hands and feet, lose their voice or their breath, or have to walk to the door and turn back when they are about to face certain tasks and situations? Our heart races, our pupils dilate, our breathing quickens, and our muscles contract. These are just some of the reactions our bodies experience when we feel fear. Fear begins when situations trigger stress, such as a job interview, a crowded auditorium waiting for you, a written test, or even an unexpected question. Fear is an innate human characteristic. All human beings experience fear, and it is part of human evolution and is related to our survival instinct. However, in some cases, fear can paralyze us and prevent us from carrying out certain activities and achieving our goals and objectives. Our fears generally go in three directions: fear of loss, fear of the process, and fear of failure. There are real fears (which signal real possibilities of danger) and irrational fears (which are the majority of the fears we have), because fear itself is a product of our mind when faced with situations, and therefore can be worked on and overcome.
