Fallaway arrow rests promise the best clearance and a carefree, good arrow flight! But then you are helplessly disappointed when the arrows don't fly cleanly. This is often due to the timing of the rest - i.e. how quickly it actually falls. Thomas shows how you can tell that something is wrong, why this is the case and how to do it correctly. A fallaway arrow rest guides the arrow without much contact and has to fold away at exactly the right moment. If the feathers drag on the rest, it falls too slowly, i.e. the timing is not yet ideal. The fundamental difference between limb-controlled arrow rests such as the HAMSKEA Trinity and cable-controlled arrow rests such as the QAD HDX is their release mechanism. With a limb-controlled rest, the further the control cable goes towards the cam, the faster the arrow rest releases and vice versa. With a cable-controlled rest, the deeper it is attached to the cable, the later it releases. Do you have any questions?
