Not because the crossbow shooting is pretty shitty, but because I had to restrain myself from completing all sorts of side quests, closing questions on the map and all that. So yes, here is a walkthrough of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt where I deal damage and kill only with a crossbow. Initially, I took this challenge too seriously because I don’t like to give myself breaks. Plus, my constant runs in Skyrim and Dark Souls take their toll. In this game, it’s impossible not to give myself breaks: somewhere you definitely need to open a portal with the Aard sign, somewhere you need to set fire to a nest of rats. Controls are constantly taken away, inventory is closed at any fart, in short, the player has practically no control over the game. The strategy for completing is simple. Need to help someone? No way. Someone wants to fight you? Let them go to hell. If the dialogue can be resolved peacefully, this is our option, especially at the very beginning, when the crossbow does negligible damage. Problems of this kind will end as soon as the Cat Eyes mutation is obtained.
