NOTE: Recording date 2024!!! ;) Hello, this is another episode of Dimitar's adventures on the way to conquer Mont Blanc. The vlog starts in Le Fayet at 7 am on the way to the train queue. There is a small problem with tickets at the entrance through the gate. There are 4 stations to go through. Dimitar gets off at Mont Lachat and goes to the shelter. The road leads through stones. After an hour he reaches the weather station, where he takes a break. On the way he meets wild goats. The employees check if he has a reservation at the shelter, which is tantamount to permission to climb to the peak. The chains begin. After two hours he takes a break to lubricate himself and choose his equipment. After two and a half hours he reaches the Tete shelter. Time for a longer break with tea for 4 euros.. He measures his saturation. Before leaving, he puts on a harness and leaves the Tete shelter, already putting on crampons. There is a straight wall to overcome up. He slowly approaches the corridor of death. He manages to overcome it without any problems. He takes off his crampons, a short break for water. He reaches the old shelter. Everything is closed. There is one last straight to the new shelter, already in crampons again. He reaches the shelter. He has to leave his equipment. Dimitar shows him the inside of the shelter and buys drinks. Time to sum up the day. He goes to the bedroom, where there is a zone of silence. After a rest, he goes for lunch. The shelter is full. Dimitar goes to sleep because the wake-up call is at 2. He waits for breakfast and weather information. He sets off in the dark. At 6:24 he reaches the Vallot shelter for a break. There is a strong wind. The last 600 meters are very difficult. He goes very slowly. The last 100 meters are very strong wind. At 9 he reaches the summit! You can't go any higher in Europe! Dimitar is overtired and his toes are frozen. He returns to Vallot for a tea break, the wind is getting stronger and fog is gathering. The road to the shelter is very narrow. He manages to return to the shelter. At 12:40 he is safe in the shelter and has lunch. The next day at 7 he goes down for breakfast. He has a very good pace and is doing very well. The last 2 km to the cable car is practically a walk, so he is doing very well. At the last second he manages to get to the train.
