When I was only 20 years old, I was already a sea helmsman, sailing instructor, and soon the youngest Vice President for Training of the District Sailing Association in Kielce and the youngest trainer of this rank in the country. I organized and participated in many cruises and training camps, from Trzebież through the Sailing Education Center of the ZHP Headquarters in Gdynia and Sztynort in Masuria. However, I am most proud of the training that I was probably one of the first and few in Poland to conduct for disabled children from a school in Busko Zdrój. I taught them sailing in the best center in Europe at that time, the iconic Trzebież. I sailed on many Polish vessels, both small and large sailing ships. I was on board my beloved Pogoria right after it was built, teaching, commanding and collecting priceless memories and experiences. There were also: Iskra, Dar Młodzieży, Zawisza Czarny, and Generał Zaruski. Since 1998, he has specialized in sailing training, charters and organizing cruises on the warm southern seas among Croatian and Greek islands. Capt. Jacek Szczepaniak
