Hi, I'm Liz 😊 I was already pending to upload this brief explanation on how I calculate the elastic that I need for my garments. This is a method that works for any type of finish and it is the one that gives me the best results. Before I indicated other ways that adapt and are general, but if it still doesn't work for you, it would be good for you to try this one☺️ It's a little more methodical but it's worth it💗let me know. Some details: •I recommend reducing the elastic for areas that we want to be tight such as the waist, some underbust detail, etc. • The increase with looseness works better for cuffs and hems, also for collars or areas where we want a gathered but not too tight. • Also keep in mind if your elastic will have topstitching or seams to reinforce on top of it, those seams and the stretch when sewing, tend to increase the measurement of your elastic. Especially if you will make 2+ seams as would be in a sports waistband, in that case increase a few cm. ____________________ You can follow me on my social networks: FB: / coselizdiy Also on INSTAGRAM: @coseliz_diy / coseliz_diy
