Becoming a bodyguard - that is a professional dream for many. But this dream often falls apart because the demands are brutally high. For the first time, we are exclusively accompanying a selection process for the military police. 20 men and women are being tested by the 1st Military Police Regiment for their suitability as bodyguards. Here, the participants have to prove their skills in various areas: #handgun shooting, tactical #driving training or unarmed #self-defense. They are also trained in style and form ("Etiquette for bodyguards"). They never act as individual bodyguards, but always as team players. Important explanation of unarmed self-defense (WSV): Military police forces can use unarmed self-defense or unarmed combat as part of self-defense, for self-defense and emergency aid. The aim of the WSV is to avert an unlawful attack with the least possible impairment of the physical integrity of the attacker. During the WSV training, participants train how to defend themselves against life-threatening physical attacks, e.g. using dangerous objects such as knives or sticks. After a successful defense, it may be necessary to pin the person to the ground before, for example, handcuffs can be put on.
