On the occasion of the release of its first book, Far Right: The Resistible Rise, published on September 6, the La Boétie Institute organized exceptional dialogues between researchers and politicians on Thursday, September 19, entitled "How to Beat the Far Right?". Based on the analyses put forward in the book, our guests will share their strategic thinking around two fundamental questions: how to seize the internal contradictions of the far-right bloc to better dislocate it; and how to organize the cultural and political battle to "de-far-rightize" society. Contrary to conventional analyses on the inevitable rise to power of the far right, this session will propose concrete avenues for mobilization to sustainably push back the far right, its ideas, its speeches and its actions. 02:02:02 Introduction by Johann Chapoutot, historian specializing in Nazism 18:26:00 Round table no. 1: “How to dislocate the far-right bloc?” Clémence Guetté, co-president of the La Boétie Institute, vice-president of the National Assembly Stathis Kouvélakis, professor of political philosophy at King's College London (2002-2020) Salvatore Prinzi, philosopher, researcher at the Federico II University of Naples Round table no. 2: “How to de-extreme-rightize society?” Ugo Palheta, sociologist specializing in the far right Fanny Gallot, historian specializing in gender Pauline Perrenot, journalist, member of Acrimed, author of Médias et extrême droite: la grande banalisation Conclusion by Jean-Luc Mélenchon, co-president of the La Boétie Institute.
