In this video, I show you how to apply limestone correctly. The best way to do this would be to analyze the soil to find out the acidity levels, but our goal is to apply it in a backyard, so it's not worth spending money on analysis. I apply limestone as follows: 300g per square meter of soil, apply once a year. Application in a pot: 20 grams of limestone per 10 liters of soil (or the pot's capacity). A level tablespoon gives exactly 20 grams. Benefits of limestone: it provides calcium, magnesium and helps reduce aluminum toxicity. It also helps release phosphorus that is fixed in the soil.
