Good evening everyone: This video made under DICOM Viewer is intended for novices in thoracic CT imaging, by which I mean: 1-Young residents (who have just started thoracic CT imaging). 2-Carabins and general practitioners and/or specialists interested in thoracic imaging (Pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, oncologists) I address the following points through this demonstrative video: -Notions of windowing and reconstruction filter. -Knowing how to recognize an acquisition in deep inspiration blocked by an expiration. -Basic anatomical notions (without going into too much detail) namely: 1-Lung segmentation. 2-Division of the bronchial tree. 3-Mediastinal structures (cardiac cavities/Large vessels/Lymph nodes) -Certain methodologies in CT analysis, in order to optimize our chances of detecting a given anomaly. What I will not address or very little in this demonstration: - Thoracic semiology (roughly) - Pathology (furtively, by citing them). - The different acquisition protocols (Low-dose, High Resolution, Thoracic pulmonary CT angiography, Thoracic aortic CT angiography, Triple Rule-out). I repeat that this is not intended for advanced radiologists and that the concept is to explain as if I were describing a thoracic CT scan to minor residents around me (as everyone does in their department) I hope to have been of considerable assistance to some, and while waiting for your feedback, your criticisms as well as your suggestions and proposals... I say take care, read, share and live up to the expectations of your patients. salam.
