Sharpness is defined as the clarity of the details in a photograph. In this video we will cover various photographic concepts that are linked to sharpness, such as: Focal length or distance The focal plane The plane of focus The subject-camera distance Depth of field Automatic focus vs. manual focus To exemplify the above, we did some focusing exercises in portrait photos with a model, a photo of pets, and a photo of an inert object, comparing different lenses, apertures, distances, and focus modes.
