Social media posts, threats and graffiti are causing fear, while at the same time many Palestinians feel that their grief and concern for their homeland is not being taken seriously. Differentiated voices often remain quiet. The pain of the young Palestinian Jaky, who no longer feels at home in Berlin after a year of living with the war, is shown. We meet the young Israeli Maya again, who has decided to be more visible in the fight against anti-Semitism than she was a year ago, despite her fear. The film shows Susanne, a Berlin Jew, who seeks comfort and affection in the synagogue and learns Hebrew because, in the face of images full of violence and fear, her Jewish identity becomes more and more important to her. The rbb reporters travel with Palestinians who feel that they are immediately and everywhere equated with screaming radicals, even though they are not. But the story is also told of people who no longer want to speak out because they no longer trust - especially not the German media. The rbb reporters also meet people with whom they spoke a year ago, immediately after the Hamas terrorist attack and the subsequent Israeli counterattacks in the Gaza Strip. How have they experienced the last few months? Do they still feel at home in Berlin? How do they perceive the spiral of violence in the Middle East? Which voices have fallen silent, which have become louder - and why?
