How Much Does It REALLY Cost to Install an Electrical System in a STANDARD HOUSE? Hey my dears! Welcome to another video in our WHAT'S THE QUESTION series! In today's video, we will answer a very common question among our students of the Professional Electrician course here at Engehall: André, how much does it cost to install an electrical system in a standard house? I will reveal all the project, labor and even material values. In addition, I will show you the new tool we are using to calculate the value of our labor and deliver quotes practically at the time of the technical visit to our client. You are curious to see what a miracle this is, right? So check if you are subscribed to the channel and if the notification bell is activated. This way, you will not miss any of our videos!!!! So, guys, to find out how much it costs to install electrical work in a house, the first question to ask is: 1 - Is the professional providing only the labor or is he delivering the complete solution? "And what is a complete solution, André?" Well, I call it a complete solution when the professional responsible for the electrical part delivers everything, that is, the electrical project, the labor and also all the materials necessary for the execution. As many of you know, Engehall currently only works this way, we charge a full price and deliver the work in working order. However, I also know that many electricians charge only for labor, the material is paid for by the client, which is also not wrong, but logically the way of charging is completely different. So, thinking about this electrician who charges only for labor. Let's suppose that he wants to earn a salary of 4 thousand reais per month, but he has several expenses, such as fuel and helper. Check out the tool we developed to calculate his hourly rate automatically. Okay, that's just one of the app's functions. Hang in there because I'll show you the part where it generates a quote on its own and I'll also explain how you can download it to your cell phone to test it out. But then, knowing that the electrician's labor will be around R$66.00 per hour and he's calculating that he'll be able to do the complete installation of the average house in up to 5 days, which is 40 hours of work on average, we have R$66.00 x 40h = R$2,640.00, and that already includes that little bit of profit margin. If you take away the profit margin, it drops to R$2,000.00, then you'll only pay for the electrician's operating costs. Guys, you'll probably find it cheaper, you'll probably find it more expensive than that, too, this will depend on the technical quality of the professional and, of course, their costs. But electrical work is no joke, you can even choose not to go with the one who charges the most, it's up to you, but never go with the cheapest, when charity is too much even the saint gets suspicious, you know. But let's say you don't have time to manage the work, you can't waste time quoting and buying materials, then having to go there and get them, exchange materials at the store, anyway, if an electrician comes with the complete solution and promises to deliver the work ready, everything working, how much would the electrical installation of a common house cost? Well, in this case the game changes, because in this case the complete solution, as I said before, includes electrical design, labor and electrical material. Let's start with the price of the electrical design. Basically, there are 3 ways to charge for an electrical design: per point, per hour worked or per square meter of work. And of course I'll mention the most used way, which is per square meter. In Brazil, depending on the region, the m² of electrical design can vary from 10 to 50 reais. Let's assume that in your region the designer will charge R$15.00 per m² for electrical design, so the design for a 100m² house will be in the range of R$1,500.00. Okay, we thought about the design, then comes the labor. The electrician we calculated there calculated the 40 hours worked on this house, so he will charge the R$2,640.00 that we previously calculated, okay, so now all that's missing is the material.
