What happens if I leave R$1,000 in Nubank's cash? - Will the cash boxes yield more than the CDI? - How long do you need to invest to reach the first million with the cash boxes? - And how does the interest rate influence the yield of the cash boxes? Well, you'll find out all about that in today's video, but first of all, I'm going to go into Nubank's cash boxes and let's try to understand what they are and how they work: WHAT ARE NUBANK'S CASH BOXES? - The boxes are a tool that Nubank created that allows you to invest money according to goals - When you create a box within Nubank, you need to enter 3 things: - The name of your goal - The term of your investment - And how much you want to save - You can even create as many boxes as you want (you can start with R$1) - The question that remains is: what's behind the Nubank boxes? HOW MUCH DO NUBANK'S BOXES YIELD There are basically 4 types of boxes: 1. Daily RDB: Nubank's RDB follows - RDB: is a type of fixed income investment. It is also linked to the CDI - In this case: it yields 100% of the CDI - Protected by the FGC (guarantees up to R$250 thousand per CPF or CNPJ) - Daily liquidity: withdraw at any time, with the amount back in up to 1 business day. - It is the investment behind the Emergency Reserve Box. 2. Immediate RDB: Same as the RDB with daily liquidity. But: - Daily: deposited in the account within 1 business day - Immediate: deposited in the account immediately Looking at these characteristics, it seems like a good investment for an emergency fund. 3. Planned RDB: works like the 2 types of RDBs I mentioned earlier, but with one difference: - You can choose a specific date to withdraw the money you saved. - The yield will depend on the term chosen to withdraw the amount. - It starts at 100% of the CDI and, the longer the term, the higher the profitability. 4. Fundo NU Reserva Imediata: this one has an additional disclaimer. I'll explain it now: - Fixed Income: the fund is composed of government bonds, repo operations and private credit securities – all of them Fixed Income assets; - The point is: private credit securities = corporate credit securities - You may not remember, but Nu Reserva Imediata had almost 1% of its equity invested in Americanas debentures - For a brief period, the fund had a negative return Want to know more about Nubank's savings accounts and whether you can reach your first million by investing in them?
