It is worth knowing the costs of this type of investment to be able to make an informed decision and avoid unnecessary expenses. In this material, I will try to present the costs associated with insulating a house, taking into account materials and labor. The basic cost is related to the purchase of polystyrene. It will depend mainly on the thickness of the insulation and the lambda coefficient. You have to pay much less to insulate a garage with 10 cm polystyrene with a coefficient of 40, than a single-family house with 20 cm graphite polystyrene with a lambda of 31. Let's start the price review with the most frequently chosen, white polystyrene with a lambda ranging from 38 to 40. The price per 1 m2 starts from PLN 25 for 10 cm thick polystyrene, and ends around PLN 70 for 25 cm polystyrene. The purchase of graphite polystyrene with a lambda of 30 to 33 involves a cost of PLN 26/m2 for 10 cm polystyrene. For 25 cm thick polystyrene, you have to pay up to PLN 88/m2. Assuming that the insulation is to apply to a house with a wall area of ​​200 m2 and 15 cm of insulation thickness, the price for white polystyrene will be from PLN 7,400 to PLN 8,800, and for graphite polystyrene from PLN 8,000 to PLN 10,600. The price of polystyrene glue and mesh embedding varies. The cheapest offers are available from PLN 18 for 25 kg. Most products are available around PLN 30 for 25 kg. The efficiency of the glue is usually in the range of 3 to 5 kg/m² and from 4 to 5 kg/m2 when making a reinforcing layer.
