※ This video is part of the June 5, 2019 broadcast of <Extreme Job - Supporting Glass Containers and Mannequins That Shine on the Leading Actors>. Recently, as environmental responsibility has been emphasized and consumers have become more sensitive to safety, glass containers that had given way to plastic containers are once again receiving attention. In a glass factory in Nonsan, Chungcheongnam-do, workers produce about 800,000 glass containers a day, from airtight containers made of glass that are strong and not easily broken while retaining the characteristic reddish color of kimchi to glass bottles for alcohol and other beverages. Inside the factory, the first thing that greets workers is the roar of the machines that are constantly running and the heat that is hotter than midsummer. In a site where just standing still is extreme, the most nerve-racking work for workers is mold replacement. The molds are made of stainless steel or cast iron, so they are quite heavy, and the temperature of the molds heated to receive the glass material exceeds 400 degrees. On the day of filming, a work schedule was set to replace 12 molds weighing close to 50 kg to produce an extra-large glass container, also known as a 'kimchi pot'. Will they be able to produce the glass container safely? ✔ Program name: Extreme Job - Glass containers and mannequins that make the main characters shine ✔ Broadcast date: 2020.06.05 #GolladunDocumentary #ExtremeJob #Glass #GlassContainer #Environment #Factory #Site #Craftsman #MeltingFurnace
