Grab your canvas, your brush and stick with it! 1. You are more creative than you think Look objectively at your art and ask yourself if it's really as boring as you think. Others often see more creativity in your work than you do. 2. Plan Write down your ideas! Whether quick sketches or notes, record your ideas to refer back to later. 3. Ideas are a process Ideas don't always arrive perfect. Take your time to develop them and don't delete drafts. 4. Creativity breeds creativity Sketch your ideas to identify gaps and get new ideas. 5. Relax Not every work of art has to be extraordinary. Make simple studies and focus on technique and medium. 6. Get inspired Look at other people's art and get inspiration. Combine elements that you like. 7. Create a series Work on related works that tell a story or have a common theme. 8. Don't be afraid to experiment and make mistakes - it's part of the creative process. I have actually always drawn! I have actively drawn every now and then, but there were also very often phases (some of which lasted several years) in which I didn't even pick up a pencil to draw.
