What is an air flow meter (MAF)? How does it work? How are they checked? How can faults be understood? Including air flow meters, when the socket is not plugged in, only the resistance of all sensors can be measured. The socket connections of all flow meters are not standard. But most of them are fed with 5 Volts by the ECÜ. A 5-pin BOSCH flow meter is seen starting from the fourth minute of the video. The meanings of the pins of this flow meter are as follows: 1: temperature sensor signal, 2: Power (12-14V while the vehicle is running), 3: Ground, 4: Reference signal (5V), 5: Flow output signal Voltage values can be measured while the vehicle is running. Some flow meters are fed by the ECÜ with an average of 14 Volts while the vehicle is running. The pins of the Fiat Egea 1.6 MultiJet flow meter are as follows; 1: Power (14V) 2: Power ground 3: NTC type temperature sensor signal 4: MASS AIR Output Signal. The measurement will be made while the vehicle is running and the socket is plugged in. You can only measure resistance without a socket. I hope it was useful.
