Do you know how a Frequency Inverter works, or rather, how it controls the speed of the electric motor? In this video I explain, step by step, the logical structure of the inverter and its operating process. Basically, we can say that it has the following blocks in its logical structure: INTERFACE BLOCKS: These are responsible for interpreting data external to the frequency inverter and sending information to the external environment, these blocks are: Communication; Digital inputs Analog inputs Digital outputs OPERATION BLOCKS: These are responsible for converting the supply voltage, allowing it to be possible (through its output) to control the frequency variation at its output and in turn, control the speed of the electric motor. In this block you will find: AC/DC rectification Filter DC/AC converter (PWM) The magic of speed variation in the frequency inverter is in this last point, instead of a purely alternating output, the output signal is like a sinusoid constructed by a sequence of continuous voltage pulses, that is, the sinusoid is constructed (PWM). Therefore, by controlling the width of these pulses, we control the period of the sinusoid, which in turn changes the frequency value....
