In this episode of Hjärnkanalen, senior university lecturer and neuropsychologist Åke Pålshammar tries to paint a picture and explain something as complex as memory in about 10 minutes. Where are memories stored? Why do we forget? What do we remember and why? Can we forget long-term memories? What are even long-term memories? Disclaimer: The purpose of these short films is to create a certain amount of knowledge about the area being treated in all simplicity and without unnecessary elements. The possibility of nuance, providing many details and showing all the shortcomings that our knowledge has is therefore limited. Giving a completely complete picture must step aside in the attempt to create motivation and desire to know more, gain more knowledge! The hope is that the short films will give a feeling that it is possible to understand (something) about our complex brain. In future programs, expansions and in-depth studies will be given for those who want to continue to improve themselves in the area of brain knowledge and behavior. This includes thoughts, language and emotions, as well as problems, deviations and disorders in the brain.
