On May 25, 2013, a tugboat named jascon-4 with a crew of 12 was moving in calm waters along the coast of Nigeria. The crew's job was to secure and stabilize a gasoline-filled oil tanker in the Atlantic Ocean. The crew members of the jascon-4 tugboat, who had been working all day long in the ocean, went to their rooms to rest at night. Since the ships in the region were frequently attacked by pirates, everyone's doors were locked for security reasons.
