Starting from the Ordesa meadow car park, we cross the river and head along the Senda de los Cazadores (a path through the forest that ... be careful here if the weather is bad or the ground is slippery) to the Mirador de Calcilarruego. From here we have privileged views of the valley, especially of the waterfall that comes down from the Circo de Cotatuero, between Punta Gallinero and Fraucata. The main difficulty of the day is already overcome, from here we walk along the Faja de Pelay, quite possibly the most spectacular views of the Pyrenees, until we reach the Cola de Caballo waterfall. The Faja runs parallel below (a few hundred metres) the Sierra de las Cutas initially, and at the end to the Sierra Custodia. This route can be done from up there, from the viewpoint you can go up towards La Cuta (avoiding the pegs) and then continue to the Góriz refuge (on that same route the way down from the refuge is also indicated, avoiding the pegs again). Above are the 3 highest peaks of the massif: Soum de Ramond, the Cilindro de Marboré & Monte Perdido (3355m). The descent from the Cola de Caballo, back towards the meadow, is very gentle, with an obligatory stop at the various waterfalls formed by the Arazas river. Marco is classified as Easy because the Senda de las Cazadores, when dry, only requires physical effort (it is still an uphill path), nor is there any step that is too exposed during the walk through the Faja de Pelay.
