They will captivate the audience with their spectacular dance. Their ever-changing formation dance is like a kaleidoscope. The popular team "Honiya" won the gold prize last year. They have won the grand prize a record nine times! They will capture your heart with their gorgeous costumes and the familiar "Honiya Bushi" tune "Honiya, Honiya Honiya Yosakoi Honiya Yosakoi Odorannya Sonson". July 30th in Obiya-cho, Kochi City... This year's theme is "Operetta". The choreography is inspired by a gorgeous little opera. Honiya's true strength is in the complex changes in formation. Instructor (dancer): "Please make sure to match the height of your down to the person in front of you. It may be difficult for tall people, but make sure you do it properly."
