We at Gastromand agreed that we wanted to make a steak sandwich a little out of the ordinary. The reason is that we wanted to pay tribute to one of our gastronomic heroes, Jonathan Berntsen. We took his burger from McDonalds and gave it a little slow food twist. We considered trying to make one of his dishes from the restaurant, The Samuel, but then we had to face the fact that we couldn't participate at that level. So better do something we can and do it well. You can see the full recipe at gastromand.dk (soon) The steak sandwich here consists of: Brioche, ketchup, braised thicket, bacon/onion marmalade, pickled onions, homemade roasted onions, pickled mustard seeds and chanterelle mayonnaise.
