Today's open house is in the Alto de Pinheiros neighborhood of São Paulo and involved the transformation of a 500m² house. Led by the Figa Arquitetura office (@figaarquitetura), owned by Roberta Iervolino, who is also the owner of the property, it was a challenge that combined time, creativity and adaptation to meet the family's needs in a special context: pregnancy, rapid changes and the pandemic. The architect, founder of Figa Arquitetura, and her family dreamed of living in a house in the neighborhood. After a long search, they found the ideal property, but the process was accelerated due to the sale of the previous apartment and an advanced pregnancy. The challenge was to adjust the project and carry out the work in a short period of time, ensuring comfort and functionality for the family. The project balanced preservation and transformation: Social Area: Unification of spaces by removing walls, modernizing the staircase and changing the finishes. The wooden floor was preserved. Balcony and Garden: Renovated roof, new pool and readaptation of the gazebo to create a gym and studio. Kitchen and Laundry: Integration of spaces and expansion of space. Upper Floor: Reduction of a suite to create a private room. Specific renovations to the carpentry and lighting. Garage and Exterior: Wooden ceiling and corten details modernized the facade. Highlights include the watercolor and embroidery painting by Mariana Weigand at the entrance, representing the family, and a wall sculpture by artist Nara Ota, symbolizing the family history. ???? Hi, my name is Lucila Zahran Turqueto and I'm responsible for Casa de Valentina! The project began as a blog in 2008, the result of my passion for decorating spaces when I was setting up my first home. Over time and with a lot of dedication, Casa de Valentina grew, gained momentum and matured. I received invitations to write articles for the main magazines in the segment, I was featured on the cover of a magazine and we won the title of the most influential design and décor blog in Latin America. Here on YouTube, you will find a select selection of architectural projects, with good decoration and interior solutions. A space for us to share inspiration and good taste!
