The Kiel Canal has connected the two seas between Brunsbüttel and Kiel for 125 years. Since then, even the biggest ships have been sailing almost 100 kilometers over land through the middle of Schleswig-Holstein. That alone is a real tourist attraction. But the landscape to the left and right of the canal is also a real holiday region and always worth a trip.
