Hulagu Khan; the most famous Mongol leader after his grandfather Genghis Khan, who killed millions of Muslims, who moved with a huge army towards the Islamic East under the direct guidance of his brother Mangu Khan when he became the Great Khan of the Mongol Empire, who assigned his brother Hulagu Khan to launch a major campaign against the Islamic East, and achieve 3 main goals: the first is to eliminate the Ismaili Assassins sect in Persia, the second is to subjugate or destroy the Abbasid Caliphate in Baghdad, and the third is to control or eliminate the emirates or kingdoms affiliated with the Abbasid Caliphate.. especially the two most important regions in the region, which are the Levant and Egypt, and all this with the aim of completing control over the entire Islamic East, and eliminating any nucleus of potential future resistance.
