The Italian Society of History Teaching was born with the declared aim of systematically dealing with an area that is little practiced by research. In other countries, history teaching has a long tradition; in Italy it is a relatively recent field of investigation. The association, chaired by Professor Antonio Brusa, wants to help the thousands of Italian teachers who want to ensure that the study of history is for young people an opportunity not only to learn about the past but also to understand how to better govern the present.
