About :

FARM SÃO GUILHERME Belmiro Braga - MG #farm201 1870 Built by Captain Emerenciano Alves in the second half of the 19th century, dating from 1870. The captain's son, Joaquim Fabiano Alves, an engineering graduate, brought the innovation to his father and the São Guilherme Farm was built in masonry, being one of the first in the region built entirely in bricks. It was intended for coffee farming, but with the decline of monoculture, it turned to dairy farming, as did most farms in the region. Located in the municipality of Belmiro Braga - MG, and completely restored in 2005, it maintained all its history with the construction and furniture of the 19th century. It is currently focused on beef cattle farming and the production of artisanal cheeses. According to legends and stories from the region, Captain Emerenciano Alves built the current headquarters of the São Guilherme Farm next to the old headquarters, where he lived, as his son Joaquim had just married. Today, the main headquarters is no longer standing, and only old foundations corroded by time can be seen.
