Upon the high instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan received, on Thursday evening, November 21, 2024, in Casablanca, the President of the People's Republic of China, His Excellency Mr. Xi Jinping, who is on a short visit to the Kingdom. Upon his arrival at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, the Chinese President was greeted by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan. Then, the Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, greeted His Excellency Mr. Xi Jinping, before reviewing a formation of the Royal Guard that paid the honors. Afterwards, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and the Chinese President were greeted by Messrs. Mohamed Mhidia, Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, Governor of Casablanca Prefecture, Abdellatif Maazouz, President of the Regional Council, Jalal Benhayoun, Governor of Nouaceur Province, Mohamed Salmani, President of the Nouaceur Provincial Council, and Abdelaziz Radi, President of the Nouaceur Commune. HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and HE Xi Jinping were greeted by Mr. Li Changlin, Chinese Ambassador to Morocco, Mr. Zhou Zhishang, Minister Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Morocco, Mr. Xia Qilin, Military Attaché at the Chinese Embassy in the Kingdom, and Mr. Zheng Wei, Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Chinese Embassy. At the entrance to the VIP lounge of the airport, the Chinese Head of State, accompanied by a delegation consisting in particular of Mr. Kai Qi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau and Director General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Mr. Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Director of the Office of the Central Committee for Foreign Affairs, and Ms. Hua Chunying, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, were offered dates and milk, in keeping with authentic Moroccan traditions. After a short break in the VIP lounge of the airport, the official motorcade headed to the residence of the Chinese President in the Kingdom's economic capital.
