The bus driver's house has become one of my personal favorite tapes. A fully furnished house - probably from the 50s or 60s - which was only abandoned a few years ago. When you enter the house you are immediately thrown back in time, you feel almost overwhelmed by all the personal items that have been left behind. As I explore the house, a picture of the people who last lived here gradually emerges and unfortunately it seems as if dramatic events have taken place and human fates have happened here. Who was the eponymous bus driver, what is the deal with all the dart trophies and can the two Mercedes Benzes in front of the house perhaps even still be saved? But above all of this there is one question: what must have happened for someone to die at the age of fifty? Questions upon questions that I want to pursue in a place where time has once again simply stood still... The bus driver's house has become one of my personal favorite tapes.
