One of the ways to propagate hippeastrums is by sowing seeds. The seeds are miniature bulbs surrounded by a black wing. The seeds have a 100% germination rate if sown immediately after the seed pod has ripened and retain high germination rates for up to two months. I germinate the seeds in water and sow them in a soil mixture. A month later, I pick them out into individual pots. The optimal temperature for growth and development is from 19 to 24 degrees Celsius and constant soil moisture. But you can’t flood the seedlings. A month after the picking date, I start fertilizing. In the video, I show the flowering of hippeastrums: Bright Nymph, Dancing Queen, Sweet Nymph, Aprodite, Lady Jane and Exotic Star. #hippeastrum#sowingallhippeastrum#propagationofhippeastrum#careforhippeastrum#varietiesofhippeastrum#seedlingsofhippeastrum#BrightNymph#DancingQueen#SweetNymph#Aprodite#ExoticStar#LadyJane
