It is relatively centrally located, which is why it offers a great view. However, with its height, the Hinteres Schöneck has nothing to be ashamed of. Nevertheless, it is quite easy to climb and even offers two routes. You can either climb the long but very easy route from the Kälberalpe, or you can take the somewhat more spectacular variant which is partially secured with steel cables and leads via the Düsseldorfer Hütte. I filmed both variants and released them as a "traverse". From Sulden at the car park in front of the Stocker Alpine School, we follow the signs towards the Düsseldorfer Hütte. The video: • Düsseldorfer Hütte 2721m + Eselsteig ... Once you arrive at the Düsseldorfer Hütte, follow the very good yellow markings. The trail now continues up through a mixture of meadows and scree. At just under 3000 meters, the "main difficulties" begin. Every now and then there is a steel cable, which makes progress easier, and footholds. The fairly exposed terrain is now changeable and the trail finds its logical path. ⚠️ Always look out for the yellow markings! Getting lost can end badly! ⚠️ After an enjoyable climb, we reach the summit surprisingly quickly and rest a little longer than usual. Then we take the long descent down to the Kälberalpe.
