Today the hiking socks start at the train station in #Niederheimbach and experience in the course of the late summer circular tour, among other things, a free goat hike, wonderful views of Heimburg Castle, the romantic Middle Rhine Valley and the Fürstenberg castle ruins, a whole lot of Riesling, the steep climb up the Wurschberg, a shady mushroom that invites you to rest, varied forest and meadow passages, a fresh autumn crocus, a baby snake, a detour to Exmoor ponies and Boer goats, the half-timbered idyll of #Oberdiebach and the former border between the small states of the Electorate of the Palatinate and the Electorate of Mainz, which was marked every evening by a guard with the sound of a bell from the Middle Ages until 1803...
