With dulcimer, double bass and accordion, a motley group of musicians from Upper Bavaria is hiking the Everest trek in Nepal. The climbers around the Wetterstein hut host Charly Werhrle are on their way to serenade Sherpa Ang Gyalzen on his 70th birthday - as a thank you for his many years of friendship. Sir Edmund Hillary's former expedition porter has spent every summer for the past 16 years at the Reintalangerhütte below the Zugspitze, where he creates a Himalayan flair.
