A hike in the wilderness of Pulju changed at the last minute to a hike in the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. It was the middle of September and autumn in Lapland was almost at its best. The route I took was: Yllästunturi nature center - Kesänkijärvi - Latvamaja - Karhukota - Pyhäjärvi. The route was very popular in many parts and there were a lot of people. There were very few actual hikers, but there were enough day hikers and especially mountain bikers in the region. Despite everything, the nature was beautiful and despite the crowd, the trip left me with a good and relaxed feeling. I could recommend this route and these terrains, for example, to a beginner hiker. Mainly navigation is easy, as long as you follow the paths. However, between Yllästunturi, Pyhätunturi and Aakenustunturi there is a marshy wilderness zone where, I believe, hardly anyone moves. You shouldn't get lost there, on the other hand, by using a map and compass to navigate, you will definitely find your own peace there if you need it! In the video, a short introduction to the Gränsfors wildlife hatchet and the Leatherman Free P4 multi-tool from a hiker's point of view. Thanks to Cabin Echoes and Samuli Raappana for the music I was able to use in the video!
