Delving into the heart of French motorways, real crossroads for all kinds of trafficking. Whether on the A10, which connects Paris to Bordeaux, or on the A2 between Cambrai and Belgium, the police and customs officers are in constant combat against traffickers. Illicit goods, contraband cigarettes, stolen cars and even animals, everything transits through these major roads. With ever more ingenious hiding places and dangerous behavior such as excessive speed or drink driving, criminals compete in audacity to escape the police. In collaboration with the SPA, the authorities are also tracking animal trafficking networks. Between helicopters, high-powered cars and increased surveillance, the security of the 9,000 km of French motorways is a priority for the gendarmerie squadrons, who are waging a real war against these criminals.
