About :

Since its discovery more than 100 years ago, Proxima Centauri has captivated astronomers around the world. It’s so desperately close to us, yet it would take generations to reach it. It’s not visible to the naked eye, but it’s the closest star to our solar system. At one point, it was the dimmest star known to man, but also the most active. And if the paradoxes of this star weren’t compelling enough, scientists recently discovered an exoplanet that appears to be similar to Earth in its orbit, sparking conversations about interstellar colonization that have included Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, and Stephen Hawking. What do we know about Proxima Centauri? And what about its newly discovered planets? What kind of flyby missions might the future hold? Come with us on this journey of discovery.
