His missions are on the open sea, and maneuvers can await him all over the world. The job: flying a helicopter weighing several tons, from which people can abseil, or even hunting submarines with torpedoes in war. Marius (26) is a helicopter pilot: he flies a Sea Lynx Mk88A in the navy. As part of the 3rd on-board helicopter squadron in Naval Aviation Squadron 5, he is stationed at Nordholz Air Base (Cuxhaven district). From there he sets off on exercises, but Marius is also stationed on board a ship 80-100 days a year. Hence the "on-board helicopter". His missions or maneuvers can be all over the world - wherever the Bundeswehr is active. Marius has dreamed of flying since elementary school. What began with a glider license led him to join the Bundeswehr after graduating from high school. Financially, Marius is more than happy: He has bought his own apartment, can invest a lot of money in his free time and at the end of the month he still has enough left over. You can find out more about his career and finances in the video and, as always, in the pinned comment. --- This is "Is it worth it?": One person, one job, one life. And at the end of the day, the question is: Is it worth it? We accompany people in their careers and show their lives. Is it worth it to work for a salary and use it to finance your own life? What makes me happy about work? We don't just compare salaries, we show how people live from their work. We are always looking for protagonists: If you also want to show how you live with your job, feel free to write to [email protected]! On a personal note: We are not infallible either - and although we make every effort to present every individual financial situation clearly, correctly and understandably, we sometimes need help. The Bavarian State Association of Tax Advisory and Auditing Professions provides us with expert support – thank you very much for that!
