For very large working widths, a chassis always carries the tedder. But there are also mid-range machines in the towed version in addition to the classic, mounted version. Then even the small farm tractor can help with silage. But do the towed machines offer any other advantages? For our system comparison, we pitted three different HIT tedders from Pöttinger, each with eight rotors and 8.60 m working width (according to DIN), against each other in the second and third grassland cuts. As always with our system comparisons, the results can also be transferred to similar machines from other manufacturers.
