While a few are very rich and have almost endless opportunities, the middle class is shrinking and many people are afraid of falling into poverty. This inequality is also evident at Christmas: A small group gives each other luxurious presents, while others get hardly anything, are poor and have to fight for every euro. The gap between rich and poor is widening. Inequality of opportunity is exacerbated by unequal financial opportunities, tax privileges such as inheritance tax exemptions and political influence. The belief that hard work automatically leads to wealth is a fallacy. There are coaches on the internet who suggest that with the right mindset you can easily earn a lot of money and become rich.
