Chronicles of New Mombasa: • Halo Documentary The Chronicles of New... The Fall of Reach was, without a doubt, the Great War in the conflict between humanity and the Covenant. The war to end all wars. After its conclusion Halo would be discovered and the galaxy would never be the same — that being said, the Battle of Reach does not exist within an empty space. In and of itself, this conflict illustrates for us the truest facet of both the UNSC and the Covenant. The ingenuity of war applied in its absolute splendor. A battle that we can argue the Covenant won, but both sides lost in their own way. After all, we know the ending from the beginning. I had to do some tinkering to successfully bring the novel Halo: The Fall of Reach and the game together, but I think it all turned out well enough. Both the novel and the game tell a relevant take on this conflict, and both deserve equal attention and appreciation. Plus, while waiting for Halo: Infinite, it's nice to look at the foundations that would begin to turn the tide of the war. Obo.
