The Tyrolean Haflinger is a living Tyrolean cultural asset and is valued all over the world for its numerous positive characteristics such as a calm temperament, robust and undemanding nature, its sure-footedness in the mountains, its friendly character and its willingness to work and people-orientation! Over a hundred Haflingers (mares with their foals, two-year-olds and older) from the Tyrolean lowlands and neighboring Salzburg spend the summer months on the Sintersbach Alm with Elisabeth Leitner! This power woman, herself a Haflinger breeder, knows every single horse and looks after the horses entrusted to her around the clock - and has done so for decades! The huge area of the Sintersbach Alm is a true paradise for the Haflingers. Anyone who sees the horses on this site for the first time feels like they have been transported to another world! The animals can spend their summer holidays here completely carefree and return to their stables at the end of September, strengthened and refreshed! At this point I would like to thank Hans Schipflinger, who invited me to visit his Haflingers on the mountain pasture. I would also like to thank Elisabeth Leitner for taking the time for us and telling us a lot about her life on the mountain pasture and how she deals with the many horses! https://www.haflinger-tirol.com/de/fo... / haflingerzuchtverein-region-kitzb%c3%bchel...
