The General Chairperson of PBNU, KH Yahya Cholil Staquf (Gus Yahya) explained the background of the emergence of the Islamic Humanitarian discourse comprehensively through a historical approach to the journey (dynamics) of world civilization that continues to change from time to time. These changes are also often colored by battles (conflicts) and conquering each other. The Islamic Humanitarian discourse itself originates from the genuine thoughts of NU scholars who reflect on what the Prophet Muhammad SAW has played who initiated the construction of civilization in the Haram land that values and respects human dignity, until finally developed by the next generation. This was conveyed by Gus Yahya at the Socialization Activity of the International Conference on Islamic Humanitarianism and Global Challenges, which was held at the Permata Hotel, Bogor City, West Java, on Thursday, October 24, 2024. This activity was a collaboration with the Director General of Islamic Community Guidance of the Ministry of Religion as well as a preliminary seminar towards the International Conference on Islamic Humanitarianism and Global Challenges which is planned to be held in Jakarta on November 5-6, 2024. Also present at the activity were the ranks of the Chairperson of PBNU, such as KH Ulil Abshar Abdalla (Gus Ulil), Dr. Ahmad Suaedy, and the ranks of the Deputy Secretary General of PBNU, namely Ginanjar Sya'ban and Ai Rahmayanti. Also present were the Director General of Islamic Community Guidance of the Ministry of Religion, Prof. Komaruddin Amin and his staff. Present as participants were the ranks of the Syuriah and Tanfidziyah PCNU of Bogor City and Regency, as well as a number of elements of NU banom-banom from Bogor.
